The plant should be kept in a place where it can get bright, indirect light. If the leaves turn yellow, the plant is receiving too much light. If they turn dark green, it is getting too little light. Lighting must be ideal in order for the plant to re-bloom.
The temperature needed for the orchid flower to show will vary depending on the kind of orchid. Generally, the plant will need to be ten degrees cooler at night than in the day. This is the temperature change the plant experiences when it is in its natural habitat. Having a proper balance of light, water, and temperature will encourage the orchid to bloom.
